Photographer Layout - Portfolio Layout

Hello

Today i will continue our marathon with a portfolio layout for a photographer. This is tutorial number 161.

For this we need to open a new document : 760 x 770 pixels with a white background. because i will create a layout for a photographer portfolio, of course i will use a photo camera image from Nikon

I will place this image on our layout

After i am happy with the position of my nikon image, i will go to Filter > render > Lens Flare , and i will use the following settings

This is my result

I will download the following image with a nice grass texture
Of course i will open the image in photoshop, and i will place exactly under the photo image layer.
With Eraser tool ( select a soft round brush ) i will delete the exterior parts of the image

this is what i have

Create a new layer above the grass layer. On this layer we will add some clouds. if you remember, i have created a few cloud brushes a few weeks ago. To download the brushes, please go to Photo-shop-Brush.com and download the following set of brushes. load the brush set in your photoshop software, then on the layer you just created add some brushes ( i have used the following color : #2a6c9c )

this is my result

Now it is time to add some flower images, near our camera

If you look carefully you can see only 3-4 different flowers. just use some flowers from your stock collection, and duplicate them as many times you want. you can also use the transform tool ( CTRL+T ) to give them another look.

Now i will add another flower . this flowers i will add under the photo camera layer

It looks already nice, but i think if i will add also some foliage images will look nicer

Now we are almost ready with our header. we will see later if we will add another details. now let's work on our body and footer. For this part of our layout i will create 2 simple shapes

I will rasterize both layer. To rasterize a shape right click on the layer you want to rasterize, then choose rasterize

Grab Eraser tool, and with a soft round brush i will delete the top parts of the shapes. In this way i will blend more the shapes in our layout

And i will start deleting the top part. this is my results

Now i will add some text on out layout.

Please download the rainbow.eps file from atachment area and place it on your document

Then go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur

Then lower the opacity to 33 %
